How to have less dry skin?

- Categories : Blog - Conseil

Dryness of the skin can be greatly accentuated by external factors such as cold, wind and dry air in winter, non-adapted care routines or medical treatments. Washing or showering too often and too hot, the use of gels or antibacterial soaps, certain skin diseases (eczema or psoriasis) can further accentuate these effects. Our dry skin, already dull and uncomfortable, then becomes red, irritated with chapping and itching .... and very difficult to live with.

How can you treat your dry skin, get a beautiful skin and feel good?
Our advice: gentle care!

  • Use lukewarm water rather than hot water when washing your hands or taking showers. Do not rub your skin when drying it.
  • Choose gentle, soothing products for your make-up removal and cleansing routine.
  • Moisturize your skin (body, feet, hands and face) daily, right after showering or cleansing, with adapted, moisturizing, soothing and humectant products (based on aloe, glycerol, urea, etc.).
  • Exfoliate your skin regularly: once you've gotten rid of dead cells, it will benefit even more from moisturizing treatments later on.
  • For the face, use a cream or serum in the evening, after makeup removal, to nourish the skin at night. And apply moisturizing or soothing masks regularly.
  • Keep yourself sufficiently hydrated by drinking plenty of water: always have an eco-friendly water bottle on hand!
  • Protect your hands with gloves to avoid contact with detergents.
  • Apply a balm to your lips when outdoors.
  • Protect your skin from the sun by applying a high factor sun protection.
  • Indoors, you can use a humidifier.
  • Be careful with the makeup you use, which can have a drying effect (matifying).

If, despite these precautions and care, your dry skin problem worsens or persists, do not hesitate to consult a doctor to help you find the cause of these problems and help you solve them.
